Increasing Fire Code Access

The National Fire Protection Association has a great post over on its blog about how the Association views consumers who use the information it puts out -- code consumers, they're called. In the past, there used to be one way to view the information that NFPA put out, and that was by reading it in a book. Today, however, there are many more channels for information to travel through, and the NFPA has made an attempt to move more toward digital information:

"We’re meeting some of the market demand with electronic formats of our titles in PDF form. The common thread is that almost all of these variant formats replicate the printed book experience."

Eventually, the goal of the Association seems to be getting to a point where all fire code and building standards information is available no matter where you are and what device you're on. When that point is reached, you'll be able to customize it to fit your needs. It's definitely a step in the right direction, and we're looking forward to it!
